Learning comes naturally when children are immersed in educational environments, from museums to libraries to nature. When children have the freedom to explore and experience the world, they gain far more than a workbook could ever provide.
Museum Fees Included
All museum and other entrance fees are included in tuition. You will never be asked to cover an extra cost. We strive to explore sustainably, using free resources and budgeting ahead when needed, so families are not paying extra costs.
Mixed Age Group
ATX Roaming Scholars offers spots for ages 6 and up. Children learn more from each other when their groups are diverse, including mixed-aged environments. A range of ages gives the group a natural, family-like feel where kids can learn at their own pace, gaining essential social and emotional skills.
Grow their social confidence
ATX Roaming Scholars is designed to give kids opportunities to engage with the community, regularly interacting and participating as members of society. We strive to be a school with no walls and unconfined to a standard curriculum, while remaining intellectually and artistically engaged with our surroundings.
Keeping learning groups small
Keeping our groups small gives us greater mobility and access to activities in the city. This also gives youth more opportunity for connection, and detailed attention can be paid to each child’s learning desires. Kids have more support and are more comfortable sharing their thoughts and perspectives in smaller learning environments.
